Prof. Dr. Hacer Sağlam Attended the Course on "Technical Measures and Innovative Strategies for the Mitigation of Fishing Impacts"
Prof. Dr. Hacer Sağlam, a faculty member at Karadeniz Technical University, Faculty of Marine Sciences, participated in the international course titled "Technical Measures and Innovative Strategies for the Mitigation of Fishing Impacts," held in Zaragoza, Spain, from September 16 to 20, 2024.
Organized by the International Centre for Advanced Mediterranean Agronomic Studies (CIHEAM), this course aimed to evaluate innovative strategies and technical solutions to reduce the environmental impact of fishing on marine ecosystems.
The program covered key topics such as the impact of fishing gear on ecosystems, technical tools to mitigate these effects, and new approaches in sustainable fisheries management.
During the course, Prof. Dr. Hacer Sağlam engaged in knowledge exchange with leading academics and experts in the field, gaining up-to-date insights into sustainable fisheries practices. Participation in such events plays a crucial role in strengthening the university’s international collaboration networks and enhancing expertise in marine sciences.
